In order to realize the vitality of the young English creation, the Great Britain Ambassy has asked ,in collaboration with the magazine Intramuros and Sabine Sautter of the Gallery Haute Définition, to twenty British designers to select a product designed by a young artist who has studied,lives and works in England.

Sabine Sautter has decided with Paule Serfati to show, in addition to this very actual vision of the British design, the narrow collaboration that exists since several years between the European manufacturers and 44 British designers : Ron Arad, Terence Conran, Tom Dixon, James Dyson, Norman Foster, Matthew Hilton, Inflate, James Irvine, Ross Lovegrove, Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Barber Osgerby, El Ultimo Grito, Michael Young…
In all, more than 100 pieces of British design illustrate the motto of the gallery Haute Définition "Demain se collectionne aujourd'hui" ("Tomorrow collects itself today").
This exposition, entitled Spot on, the British design seen by its leaders, will be presented at the Haute Définition's prossional show room, 4 passage du Grand Cerf - Paris 2°, from May 16 to June 30 2002; exceptional public opening on May17 and 18 and to the occasion to the 7° Puces du Design on May 31, June 1st and 2.
